The Butterfly Garden
The butterfly garden was opened on the 15 June 2011. The garden consists of a semi-circular lawned area that is bordered on one side by a colourful range of plants that have been specifically chosen to attract butterflies, moths, bees and other insects. Bereaved families are able to inter their loved ones’ cremated remains and place a commemorative nameplate on one of the sandstone kerbstones that border the garden. Three granite benches engraved with butterflies offer visitors a place to sit in quiet reflection in peaceful and tranquil surroundings.
