- Salary: Grade 4 (£19,650 – £20,043 FTE)
- Base: Macclesfield Crematorium, Macclesfield
- Shift Pattern: 2 x positions – Min 22.5 hours per week Mon - Fri
- Contract Duration: Permanent

Orbitas Bereavement Services is a wholly owned Company of Cheshire East Council and has responsibility for managing the Council’s ten cemeteries and two crematoria.
As a Bereavement Assistant you will play an important role in the provision of bereavement services to the residents of East Cheshire. The role will involve working as part of the Administrative Team and as a Chapel Attendant and therefore requires a good level of IT literacy and strong communication skills.
Administrative duties will include administrative support relating to burials, cremations, exhumations and memorials.
Chapel Attendant duties include preparing for and overseeing funeral services, liaising with Funeral Directors, helping visitors to the crematorium and cleaning and general upkeep of the crematorium building and immediate surroundings.
The ability to work additional hours when required would be highly desirable.
