Gate restoration work at Macclesfield cemetery

The gates to the Prestbury Road entrance to Macclesfield Cemetery are undergoing restoration work, and will be closed to the public for approximately two weeks as of 27 August 2019. 

All access will be via the Westminster Road gateway during this time. In addition to this work, extensive resurfacing of the main route around the cemetery will also be undertaken. We apologise for any inconvenience this closure may cause.

Part of Westminster Road is also closed due to roadworks that have overrun so to access the cemetery from Prestbury Road, turn right into Bollinbrook Road, follow the road round onto Westminster Road, access to the cemetery is at the end of this roadway on the right hand side.
